Calendars also make great
Birthday gifts, especially when they are included with
personal photos. You can make a selection of photos
that have special meaning to the "birthdaychild"
and by including them in a calendar, he or she can watch it
all year round! These could be photos of his or her wedding
for example, of their newborn baby, of their new home if
they have recently moved, of their vacation or honeymoon, of
friends or relatives. Any and all photos can be worthwhile
framing!
On the following pages you can view a sample of each
calendar currently available. You can view thumbnails of all
calendar pages. We have put these on separate pages, because
there are several pictures and it may take a while to
download, depending on the type of computer and internet
connection you are using. Therefore this is optional; you
don't have to click on the image to view these thumbnails..
When you buy one of our COMPLETE
calendars, you will receive a link to a page where you can
download a PDF-file, which is ready to be
printed. You can either print it yourself, or take it
to a copyshop to be printed on a high quality printer. The
result varies depending the printer and paper you use. But
the file is yours, so if you are not pleased with the
result, you can always try a different printer or paper.
With the purchase of a BLANC
calendar, you will receive a download with jpg-files of the
week- or month without any photos. Also included, is a
jpg-file of a blanc calendarpage, so you can create your own
calendarpages if you like.
Using the frames calendars:
You will need a graphics program such as
Paintshop or Photoshop, but you can also insert them in a
WORD-document for example. You can resize them to fit your
need. When you insert the jpg's in a WORD-document and print
them, you will then need to cut out the space to be able to
insert a photo there. After you have done so, you can then
take a photo and glue it at the back of the page. Make sure
that on the front you see the part of the photo you want to
see and that there are no visible edges.
It is however easier to insert photos digitally, with the
use of a graphics program as mentioned above. My personal
favorite is Paintshop and the way to do it in this program
is as follows:
1) Select the photograph you want to insert and open it in
Paintshop.
2) Open one of the jpg-files of the calendar. The space
where the photo needs to be inserted is blanc in a frames
version, and if you left click INSIDE this frame, you can
then select it.
3) Then select your photo with Ctrl+A (for All), followed by
Ctrl+C (to Copy it).
4) Select the "magic wand" tool with a left click
of the mouse.
5) Left click IN the respective calendar frame.
6) Followed by: "insert into selection."
Now your photo is inserted IN the frame on the
calendarpage!
Do not copy and paste, because that will not
include your photo IN the frame where you want it, but will
then place it on top of the frame!
You also want to make sure, that the photo you selected,
will fit the frame you want to paste it in. Sometimes you
may have to resize your photo in order to fit it completely.
Or you may need to select a portion of the photo for a
better result.
It is always a good idea to save the original photo on your
pc so that if you make a mistake, you can start over and try
again. Have fun!
